In accordance with the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011, local authorities are required to make arrangements for elected members to produce annual reports of their activities if they so wish.
The purpose of the Elected Members’ Annual Reports is to improve communication between elected members and the public; in other words, presenting factual information of activities to individuals in the ward. It is acknowledged that the annual reports are only one method of communicating with the electors.
