Unpaid carers

Supporting the health and wellbeing of unpaid carers is key and there is a lot of support available, depending on your situation and needs.

The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014) (opens in new tab) defines a carer as "someone who provides or intends to provide unpaid care to an adult or disabled child" – whether a family member, mate or friend.

The Carers Outreach Service provides support for non-paid carers: Carers Outreach Service (opens in new tab)

There are many groups and organisations within Gwynedd who support unpaid carers. You can find information about groups locally for you on the Dewis Cymru website. (opens in new tab)
