Carers' Assessment
If the local authority thinks you need support (or are likely to need support in the future), they have to assess whether you need support.
Apply online: Telecare service
Telecare is a monitoring service that allows you to call for help day or night, through a touch of a button, or by using a series of automatic sensors fitted in the home.
Planning for the future
Planning for the future is important for anyone in a caring role.
Respite / Counselling
The Carers Outreach Service runs two dedicated funds that can help carers have time to themselves.
Help to live independently
Everyone wants to live independently, to stay in our own homes, and to socialise in our own communities.
Unpaid Carers ID Card
An identification card for local unpaid carers. It shows that the cardholder has care responsibilities for someone who is ill or disabled.
