Harlech Regeneration Project

In response to a number of key threats and risks facing Harlech, Gwynedd Council with the support of strategic and local partners is seeking views on how to maximise opportunities in Harlech.

Harlech is already known for several reasons:

  • World class heritage
  • Historical Castle
  • Championship Golf Course ar Royal St David's
  • Outstanding coastline
  • Aerospace and space technology opportunities at Llanbedr

The town needs a joint vision and a series of ideas to move on.

See Harlech's Strategic Priorities

Over the last six months, Gwynedd Council with the support of Welsh Government, Cadw and Snowdonia National Park Authority have been developing a strategic guide for investment within Harlech.  Chris Jones Regeneration consultants have worked alongside this strategic partnership as well as providing opportunities for the local community to have their say on ideas and future priorities.

Harlech Strategic Plan

We are aware that conversations need to continue and develop into joint action not just on the larger strategic proposals but on some community based ideas and initiatives.

We are therefore hosting a drop-in session for local residents and community organisations : Wednesday 29 November 2017 from 12:00 to 19:00 at Harlech Memorial Hall, Twtil.

The session will provide the opportunity to:

  • Understand the strategic priorities for Harlech
  • To discuss how public, private and community organisations can work together as part of joint delivery

Members of the consultancy team will be on hand to discuss the strategic guide and ways of working going forward.

To help us accommodate people on the day, please reply to adfywio@gwynedd.llyw.cymru to confirm attendance.

We look forward to seeing you on the day.
