Our Bravery Brought Justice

Following the arrest and conviction of the former headteacher of Ysgol Friars, Bangor, in September 2023 and July 2024, very serious incidents were revealed relating to the abuse of children over a number of years.

As a result of these events, a Child Practice Review (titled Our Bravery Bought Justice report) was carried out to examine what happened, how agencies responded, and what can be learned to improve safeguarding arrangements in the future.
