Garden waste collection

The garden waste collection service is available for an annual fee of £41.

How the service works and what you can put in the brown bin

Service cost and collections

For a fee of £41 a year, you will receive:

• 22 collections a year
• One brown wheelie bin emptied every two weeks

You can order the service at any point during the year, but the annual fee will be the same.

This is a fixed price for the year, from week commencing 26 January 2026 until the end of November / early December 2026. There are no collections over Christmas and New Year, or during January.

Extra bins

Every house can order up to 4 brown bins.

• £34 a year for every additional brown bin

How does the service work?

After you've paid, you will receive a sticker through the post within 10 working days (can take longer during busy periods).
You need to place the sticker around your brown wheelie bin so that it is clearly visible.

Please note:

• You won't receive a new bin, as part of the services
• If you need a new bin please phone 01766 771000
• Only bins with a valid garden waste sticker will be collected.
