Waste and Recycling Strategy Consultation
We want to hear your views on Cyngor Gwynedd's Waste and Recycling Strategy (draft).
This strategy will shape Gwynedd’s local waste services up to the year 2030. Its main aims are to:
- Reduce the amount of waste being produced by our residents and businesses
- Encourage people to repair and reuse items before throwing them away
- Recycle, reuse and compost at least 70% of waste produced to meet Government targets
- Deliver a high quality Waste Collection Service where safety, welfare, and values of our staff, as well as customer care and satisfaction are integral to our core principles
- Create a carbon neutral waste service (e.g. low carbon emissions vehicles and reduce overall waste)
- Invest in our waste treatment infrastructure to be able to deal with more waste locally.
