Tribute to the late W. Tudor Owen

Cyngor Gwynedd has paid tribute to former councillor W. Tudor Owen who passed away at the weekend.

He represented Peblig ward on Cyngor Gwynedd between May 1996 and May 2017, and was Council Chair between 2010-11. He was a member of the old Arfon Council before Cyngor Gwynedd was established in 1996.

Councillor Ioan Thomas, Chair of Cyngor Gwynedd said: “We were very sorry to hear of Tudor Owen's passing. He was a cheerful person, always with a smile on his face and had time for everyone.

“He worked hard for Caernarfon, his home town, and specifically for the Peblig ward. He showed remarkable dedication over many years to Canolfan Noddfa and the people of Caernarfon continue to benefit from his work to this day.

“We send our deepest condolences to Tudor's family and friends at this difficult time.”
