During the 21-day consultation period anyone can submit comments on the development - either objecting or supporting, or a general comment. All valid comments will be considered when making a decision on the application. You can only comment on a planning application during this 21 day consultation period.
Submitting comments

What type of comments will be considered?
The most common types of comments that will be considered are:
- does the development conform to planning policies and the Joint Local Development Plan (opens in new tab)?
- comments about the design
- impact on neighbouring properties such as severe loss of light or privacy
- impact on highway safety
We cannot consider comments about:
- loss of view
- land ownership disputes
- personal character of the applicant
- moral issues
- property devaluation
What will happen if anyone objects to my application?
Even if objections are received, this does not necessarily mean that the application will be refused. A copy of the objection (or support) will be placed on the paper planning file which is a public file and the case officer will consider the comments for and / or against when assessing the application. Receiving objections to an application does not necessarily mean that the application will be rejected.
