Climate and Nature Emergency Plan
The Climate and Nature Emergency Plan was first adopted in a Cabinet meeting on 8 March 2022.
It is a plan that is regularly reviewed, and during 2025 the Council asked the people of Gwynedd for their views. The results of the consultation can be found here. (opens in new tab)
View the consultation resultsFollowing consultation with the people of Gwynedd and Council members and staff, changes were made to the plan and the new version (Version 2) was then adopted by Cabinet on 7 July 2026.
The plan explains the reasons why the Council needs to act, what action it will take, and provides an outline timetable and costs for the work.
