1bws Ticket

The 1bws multi-operator ticket gives you access to 27 bus operators and nearly 200 bus routes across North Wales, so you can get around easily without worrying about what bus to get on.

The 1bus ticket can be used on the Sherpa’r Wyddfa network.

 

Where can you use a 1bws ticket?

You can use a 1bws ticket on any bus service in North Wales within, from or to the counties of:

  • Anglesey
  • Conwy
  • Denbighshire
  • Flintshire
  • Gwynedd
  • Wrexham

1bws tickets cannot be used on the Townlynx service 28 (Mold - Flint), T36 Dyfi Valley or tourist-type services (such as the X10). 

 

Bus services operating in England

You can only use a 1bws ticket on those services starting or finishing in Wales and operating direct to Chester, Ellesmere Port or Whitchurch (Shropshire).

 

 

Traws Cymru® services

1bws tickets are valid on the following Traws Cymru® services:

  • T2 (Bangor - Aberystwyth)
  • T3 (Wrexham - Barmouth)
  • T10 (Corwen - Bangor)
  • T12 between Wrexham and Chirk
  • T8 (Corwen - Chester)
  • T22 (Porthmadog - Caernarfon)

How to buy a 1bws ticket

To buy a 1bws ticket, you can pay the driver on your first bus. Cash or contactless payment is accepted on all buses. You can also use Tap on – Tap off and the fare will be capped automatically.

How to use a 1bws ticket

To use a 1bws ticket, show the ticket’s QR code to the reader on each subsequent bus or use ‘Tap on-Tap off’.

 

How long is the 1bws ticket valid?

1bws tickets are valid for a whole day, up to and including the last bus.1bws weekly tickets are valid for 7 consecutive days.

 

Tap on – Tap off

You can use ‘Tap on-Tap off’ to pay for a 1Bws ticket and the fare will be capped accordingly – as you travel about on day one, when the fare amount reaches the 1Bws day cap, you will not be charged any more for that day.  This will continue for 7 consecutive days until the cap equivalent to the weekly ticket price is reached. All journeys after this will be capped at zero for the remainder of the 7 consecutive day period.
