Grant for charities - Welsh Church Fund
The aim of the Church Fund is to promote and support activities by charities which will benefit the people of Gwynedd and, enrich the local communities.
**Regrettably, for the time being, (from April 2018), we will not be accepting new applications to the Welsh Church Fund. If you represent a local Eisteddfod which is already on our list of those which receive a grant, you will not be affected. You will continue to receive your grant.
When this situation changes, it will be announced here.
Who can apply for the grant?
Any registered charity can apply for this grant from Gwynedd Council’s Church Fund, including:
- local eisteddfodau
- fine arts
- education establishments
- sport and leisure establishments
- conservation organisations
- charities who support sick or disabled people

How much money is available?
A total of £9,000 is available annually.
It is possible to apply for any sum of money although the individual grants usually awarded are between £100 and £3,000.

To apply, you will need to complete the application form / application form and return it by post to the address noted on the form itself.
