Gwynedd Nature Partnership welcomes the public to Nefyn Show

Date: 07/05/2026

It was a great day for the Gwynedd Nature Partnership at Nefyn Show earlier this week, as they worked in collaboration with local partners including the AONB, SAC Morol Pen Llyn a’r Sarnau and Ffermio Bro, to engage with the public and share information about conservation work in the Pen Llŷn area.

A large number of visitors came to the Partnership’s stand to take part in popular activities such as face painting, the pollinator ball game, watching short films, and receiving free wildflower seeds to sow at home. The event provided a valuable opportunity for people of all ages to learn about local projects and about the important work being undertaken to manage land and sea for the benefit of nature.

Lea Connelly, Biodiversity Team Leader at Cyngor Gwynedd, said:

“Nefyn Show is a fantastic opportunity for us to work hand in hand with our partners who manage the land and sea in Pen Llŷn. By working together and engaging with the public, we can raise awareness of the positive projects taking place locally and show how everyone can play a part in protecting nature.

“We’re looking forward to receiving photos of the wildflowers that everyone has managed to grow at home — remember to share your photos with us.

The Gwynedd Nature Partnership would like to thank everyone who stopped by to say hello and to show an interest in the work being carried out to support biodiversity and local nature. The Partnership will continue to work collaboratively with partners and communities across Gwynedd to secure a positive future for nature.
