Here in Gwynedd your child is entitled to 10 hours a week, part-time nursery education at the age of 3.
Your child would start Foundation Phase (opens in new tab) nursery education from the term following their third birthday.

Nursery education is provided through the Cylchoedd Meithrin, Nurseries or Playgroups. It must be remembered that not every Cylch Meithrin, Nursery or Playgroup is registered as a Nursery Education Provider. See a list of approved settings here by choosing ‘Offers funded Foundation Phase nursery places’ in the ‘Facility’ options and filter your result.
If your child claims these hours within a Cylch Meithrin or Nursery then appropriate forms are available from the leader / manager.
If your child's date of birth is between 1 April and 31 August and the school term starts September your entitlement to 10 hours of nursery education will be included in your child's registration (opens in new tab) for entry to nursery school and you are not required to do anything further.
