If you are concerned about traffic flow, inappropriate parking, or safety risks, you can request parking restrictions such as double yellow lines.
Matters to consider before making a proposal:
- Is there genuine concern about safety or traffic flow, supported by sound legal reasoning
- Whether the issue is occasional or persistent
- Whether the new restrictions would create a similar or worse problem in a nearby area
- The likely impact of the restrictions on driver behaviour
- Realistic expectations regarding enforcement in the area
All proposals for parking restrictions will be subject to public consultation, meaning members of the public have the right to object.
