Y Grîn carpark, Y Bala, LL23 7NG (1 charging point 22kW, 1 charging point 50kW); Carpark near Canolfan Hamdden Glaslyn, Porthmadog, LL49 9NU (2 charging points 22kW, 2 charging points 50kW); Diffwys carpark, Blaenau Ffestiniog, LL41 3ES (2 charging points 22kW, 2 charging points 50kW); Marian carpark, Dolgellau, LL40 1DL (2 charging points 22kW, 2 charging points 50kW). Work is also in progress to install more charging points in locations in the areas of Bangor, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Dolgellau, Llanberis, Penygroes and Pwllheli over the coming months.
There are a variety of charging point types provided – 7kW (4hrs*), 22kW (2 – 3hrs*),50kW (40 minutes*), 150kW (15 minutes*). Details of electric vehicle charging point locations in Gwynedd and prices for using them are available on the ZapMap (opens in new tab) website (external website)

Direct Current (DC) Charging (Rapid: Typically 50kW and above)
Before you start Make sure your electric vehicle supports rapid charging (consult your vehicle manual if unsure).
DC chargers have tethered cables which means you don’t need to bring your own cables. More information on how to locate a DC charger (opens in new tab)
Payment Choose your preferred payment method:
Evolt Network App Evolt Network RFID card WebPay Contactless bank card, Apple Pay or Google Wallet Other independent providers. Note An initial pre-authorisation is taken. The exact charge amount is captured at session end. Any difference is released back to you. Pre-authorisation amounts may vary depending on the charge point. How to charge your vehicle Present your payment method (card tap, App, RFID scan etc.) Wait for the system prompt, then plug in the DC connector Charging will start automatically after validation. How to end a session Stop the session via your selected payment method Unplug the cable — if it’s locked, try pushing it in slightly before pulling again Stow the cable properly in the holster provided. Alternating Current (AC) Charging (Fast: Typically 7kW to 22kW)

How to charge your vehicle Authorise your payment method — before plugging in Plug in your cable to both the charger and your vehicle Charging begins once these steps have been completed. How to end a session Stop the charge using the same payment method you started with Unplug your cable from both ends Stow your cable neatly to avoid trip hazards. Note: A pre-authorisation of up to £35 is taken from your account to begin the session. After your session, only the actual cost is charged. Any remaining balance is released (typically within 5–7 working days).
Evolt Network App You can use the Evolt Network App for one-off charging — no account needed. You can set up an account to use other chargers on the network.

2. Find a charge point Search by Charge Point ID (CPID) this will also be shown on the unit, e.g. SECXXXXX Or use your location by clicking on ‘Search this area’ in the app 3. Start and pay Select your charge point and socket, click on ‘Start charging’ Enter your card details/use Apple Pay/Google Wallet to begin charging End the session in the app The final cost will be charged shortly after (usually within an hour) WebPay No account is needed to use WebPay.
Scan the QR code on the Charge Point ID (CPID) sticker or use the link: https://webpay.swarcoeconnect.org/ Input the CPID number click ‘Proceed’ Select your socket/connector Proceed to payment – enter your card details/use Apple Pay to begin charging End the session through WebPay. Once payment is confirmed, the session can begin. The final charge will be billed through Stripe, the secure payment provider.

Other payment options You can also charge across the Evolt Network using third-party eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) including:
You can use your existing eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) card or App on Evolt Network, ChargePlace Scotland, and PoGo Charge units—no need to sign up again or download another App.
Payment Info: Pre-authorisation: When using payment methods other than the Evolt Network RFID card, a payment is required before charging begins. This system works like pay-at-pump petrol stations, helping to prevent failed payments or misuse.
