A special event was held at Dolgellau yesterday evening (15 October) to celebrate the success of rally driver Elfyn Evans from Dinas Mawddwy, following his recent victory in the World Rally Championship in Sardinia.
Thanks to everyone involved in organising the event and to those who came along to celebrate and congratulate Elfyn.
Councillor Nia Jeffreys, Leader of Cyngor Gwynedd, said:
I would like to warmly congratulate Elfyn Evans on his historic success. His remarkable achievement has drawn international attention to Gwynedd.
“It is a great source of pride that Elfyn is the first Welshman ever to claim this championship title.
“Yesterday was an opportunity for the local community, and for Gwynedd as a whole, to come together to celebrate and recognise this outstanding achievement.”
