This Strategy sets out the Council’s vision for reducing waste, increasing reuse and recycling, and moving towards a more sustainable circular economy.
It builds on the significant progress made over the last decade in increasing recycling rates and reducing waste, while responding to new challenges such as climate change, national targets and increasing financial pressures.
Developed following public consultation, the strategy provides a clear framework for the development of waste and recycling services through to 2030.
