We do NOT accept soft plastic such as plastic bags, plastic wrapping, crisp packets, cling film or polystyrene.
Many supermarkets accept these items.

Blue BoxIf you don't have a Cartgylchu or if you have extra re-cyclable waste you can use a traditional blue box.
You must separate items just like the cartgylchu.

22 litre Brown Food BinAny type of food waste – cooked or raw e.g. fruit and vegetable peelings, cheese, bread, beans, meat, eggs, plate scraps, food passed its best before date, tea bags, fish etc.

Do not
 put liquids such as milk or oil in the bin.
Please use the bags provided to line the brown food waste bin. Do not use any other bags.
Need more bags?
Place the orange tag that's inside the roll of bags on the handle of your waste bin when you put it out for collection. (The orange tag is inside the roll of bags - you will see it when there are about 10 bags left in the roll).

Green Waste BinAny household waste that cannot be recycled
We will empty one green bin from each property every three weeks (or 3 black bags).We will not collect any additional bags or side waste.
If you live on a narrow access road where the narrow access lorry collects your waste, you must ensure that your waste is in bin bags and not loose in the bin.
Electrical equipment: we don’t collect electrical equipment as part of the green waste collection. Please take them to your local recycling centre (or arrange for a bulky waste collection)
Builders waste: we don’t collect builders waste as part of the green waste collection. Please take them to your local recycling centre.
NappiesNappy collections must be booked berfore hand
A yellow sack will be left at the house each week on the collection day.

ClinicalIt is possible to arrange a clinical waste collection for any type of clinical waste, including medicine, dressings and needles.
This is arranged by your community nurse.
