Planning fees - how to pay

With most kinds of planning applications a fee may be payable.

The fee must be paid on the same day as the application is submitted.

 

How much will the application cost?

The price of submitting an application varies, depending on the development. To calculate the price of an application, go to the Planning Portal website and enter the details of the application:

How do I pay?

  • Online - through the Planning Portal: if you choose to submit your application online you can pay the fee at the same time using the Planning Portal
  • By phone: by phoning 01766 771000 (Select Option 4) and paying with a debit card.
    You will need to confirm:
    Your name and contact details / the name of your agent (if relevant) / the location of the development / a description of the development / the fee payable
  • By post: by posting a cheque with your application payable to Gwynedd Council to:
    Planning Service, Council Offices, Ffordd y Cob, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, LL53 5AA
  • In person: You can pay the planning fee with a cheque attached to your application at
    Siop Gwynedd, Ffordd y Cob, Pwllheli
    You will need to know the fee payable beforehand.

Please note: We don’t recommend that you pay with cash. If you want to pay with cash, you will need to visit Siop Gwynedd, Ffordd y Cob, Pwllheli, and ask to see an officer from the Planning Service.
