Terms and Conditions for the 'Cyngor Gwynedd recycling containers trial' promotion

  1. The Promoter of the Promotion is The Waste and Resources Action Programme (which operates as WRAP), which is a registered UK Charity (No. 1159512) and whose registered office is Second Floor, Blenheim Court, 19 George Street, Banbury, Oxon, OX16 5BH.
  2. This free prize draw competition is open to residents aged 18 or over and living in a home that was invited to take part in the 15-week ‘Trialling new containers for your recycling’ trial between Monday, 24 March and Friday, 4 July 2025. Maximum one entry per property address. Employees of WRAP, Cyngor Gwynedd, or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Promotion or helping to set up the Promotion, shall not be permitted to enter.
  3. Entry into the Promotion shall constitute deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions so please read them carefully before entering the Promotion.
  4. Any personal information you supply by entering the Promotion will be held and processed by the Promotor in accordance with WRAP’s Privacy Policy: https://wrapcymru.org.uk/privacy-policy-0
  5. The Promotion starts on Saturday, 21 June 2025 at 00:01 (BST) and ends at 23:59 (BST) on Friday, 4 July 2025.
  6. Entries must be received after 00:01 (BST) on Saturday, 21 June 2025 and before 23:59 (BST) on Friday, 4 July 2025. Entries received outside of this time period will not be valid.
  7. To enter you must:
    - complete the online survey promoted on Cyngor Gwynedd's website, and
    - write your name, email address and postcode on the form where asked.
  8. There will be one prize winner who will be selected at random on Monday, 7 July 2025 by WRAP from all valid entries.
  9. The prize that will be awarded to the winner is a £50 One4all Gift Card.
  10. The winner will be contacted by 16:00 on Wednesday, 9 July 2025 via the email address provided by entrants on their submitted survey form.
  11. The winner must provide the Promoter with proof of identity and proof of their home address to establish eligibility before being confirmed as a winner and before delivery of their prize is arranged. This can include a UK driving licence, a recent utility bill (e.g., gas, water, electricity), a recent Council Tax bill, or a valid tenancy agreement.
  12. If the Promoter does not receive a response from a winner within 72 hours of its first attempt at contact, if the winner rejects their prize, or the drawn entry is subsequently found to be invalid or in breach of these terms and conditions, then the prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter shall be entitled to select another winner.
  13. The prize will be delivered to the winner at their home address in Gwynedd, via a secure ‘Signed For’- style postal method, such as ‘Royal Mail Signed For®'.
  14. By entering the Promotion, you give permission for WRAP and Cyngor Gwynedd to mention your title, surname and town in any communications about the trial’s prize draw.
  15. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of the same or higher value should the original prize become unavailable for circumstances beyond its reasonable control. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right at any time, and from time to time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Promotion with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control.
  18. The Promoter will not be liable for any failed entry attempts whatever the cause.
  19. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered as a result of entering the Promotion or accepting the prize. Nothing shall exclude the liability of the Promoter for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  20. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions.
  21. The judging panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  22. The value of the prize draw gift card has been funded to Cyngor Gwynedd by Welsh Government; it is not paid for using residents’ Council Tax payments.
