Homelessness Strategy
Part 2 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 places a statutory duty on each local authority in Wales to carry out a homelessness review and formulate a homelessness strategy to achieve the following:
- Prevent Homelessness
- Provide suitable accommodation for people who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless
- Provide suitable support for people who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless
To this effect, the North Wales Heads of Housing agreed to develop a Regional Homelessness Strategy.
The Regional Homelessness Strategy was been developed between 6 North Wales Local Authorities and facilitated by the Chartered Institute of Housing.
