Ensuring an interview

The Council guarantee an interview to every disabled applicant if they meet the requirements for the post.  Disabled applicants will be assessed based on their abilities.

Attending the interview

If you are invited to an interview, you will be asked to note if you have any specific needs to ensure that we have suitable arrangements in place if needed. For example a sign-language interpreter or lip reader, or to arrange suitable transport to and from your interview if needed.

Every effort is made to ensure that officers who become disabled can continue with their jobs.

Fair consideration is given to any requests made to change working patterns such as reducing hours, temporary contracts or working from home in order to facilitate the process of returning to work or adjusting the workplace.
