School Admissions and Transfers
Use the forms below to apply for a place at a school in Gwynedd.
Admission to nursery class (September)
Children who are 3 years old before 1 September have a right to part time education at a primary school (Nursery class).
Admission to reception class (September)
Children who are 4 years old before 1 September have a right to full time education in a primary school (Reception class).
Admission to secondary school (Year 7, September)
Parents of Year 6 pupils need to apply for their child to attend Year 7 at one of Gwynedd’s secondary schools.
Transfer from infant to junior school (September)
your child is about to to leave Infant school (Ysgol Morfa Nefyn or Ysgol Abercaseg), you’ll need to apply for a place in year 3 or 4 at another school.
Changing school /admission during school year
If you want to move your child from one school to another discuss the matter with the head teachers of both schools as the first step.
