Age-friendly Gwynedd
Cyngor Gwynedd is working to become an age-friendly local authority by 2025, which is in keeping with the national work by the Welsh Government and the Older People's Commissioner for Wales. This agenda corresponds with the work of the World Health Organisation: The WHO Age-friendly Cities Framework - Age-Friendly World
There are a number of ongoing projects in Gwynedd:
Homeshare
An exciting Homeshare project was launched in Gwynedd during January 2023.
The project is an opportunity to tackle the main challenge facing the Council, such as care, homelessness and social challenges such as loneliness. More information
Bridging the Generations
The Bridging the Generations project has been working very hard over the years to create various different projects that brings people of different ages together.
Cyngor Gwynedd's bridging the generations scheme, has been operational since 2018 and has been working very hard over the years to create various different projects.
