Coronavirus (Covid-19): Council Tax

Where possible, taxpayers should pay the Council Tax as usual.

During this critical time, all enforcement action on unpaid bills was suspended for three months (April – June). This was to give people the chance to re-arrange their finances, and to apply for any relevant assistance.  

 

New bills

By now, we need to re-assess the situation. We are sending a new bill to everyone who has outstanding payments. We have re-arranged the payments to be paid in monthly instalments from July to March 2021.  

If you are happy to pay in accordance the new arrangement you receive, making the first payment in July, you don’t need to contact us.

Reductions and further advice

If you have no income at this time, you may be eligible for Council Tax Reduction.
