During September 2021 Gwynedd Council's ‘Chwaraeon am Oes / Sport for Life’ Team will transfer to the Byw’n Iach company who provides fitness, sport and swimming facilities throughout Gwynedd.

As part of this change a new and exciting Partnership Unit is being set up within the company, which will create new opportunities alongside clubs, schools and other organisations in the county that provide community sports opportunities.

Amanda Davies, Managing Director of Byw’n Iach, said:

“In order to be able to plan for the future, we want to hear the views of sports clubs, schools and other organisations that provide community sport and physical activity opportunities, here in Gwynedd.

"The Partnerships Unit is keen to gather information to create a clear picture of the community's situation, needs and priorities."

In summary, the questionnaire asks for the following information:

• Club details / community provision

• What support is needed in the future including things like training courses, help with communication and grant advice?

• Information on inclusive opportunities

• The impact of Covid-19 on your provision

• Priorities for the future

• Opinions on rewarding and recognising the success of Gwynedd Athletes and Sports Volunteers

Alun Jones, Partnership Manager for Byw’n Iach, said:

"We want to ensure that the new work programme of the Partnerships Unit prioritises areas that offer the best support to those partners who want to help us achieve our vision of promoting the health and wellbeing of all residents in the county."

The survey is open to clubs, schools and relevant organisations to share their views - they can take part here:

The survey will be open until 30 November, 2021.
