Siop Gwynedd one-stop-shop closed
All three of Gwynedd Council’s Siop Gwynedd one-stop-shops - at Caernarfon, Dolgellau and Pwllheli along with the reception area at the Council’s Penrallt offices in Caernarfon – are now closed for an unspecified period of time.
This is to ensure the health and safety of the public and staff due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Services and information
Many Gwynedd Council services are available online, and we would urge people who require information or services to please visit our website www.gwynedd.llyw.cymru/MyAccount or use the Gwynedd App (which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Playstore) first.
If you can’t find the information you need online, please call the Council’s Galw Gwynedd Contact Centre on 01766 771000. We would advise members of the public that we are currently experiencing a greater volume of calls than usual, coupled with a reduced staff capacity because of the effects of the virus, resulting in a far longer waiting time.
We are grateful for your patience at this difficult time.
If you need information or advice regarding Council Tax, for instance any exemptions or discounts you may be entitled to, please visit the website www.gwynedd.llyw.cymru/CouncilTax
If you’re currently having problems or concerns about your ability to pay your Council Tax, or you can’t find the information you need online, and need to speak to an officer, please e-mail CouncilTax@gwynedd.llyw.cymru (for domestic properties such as houses and flats) or Non-DomesticRates@gwynedd.llyw.cymru (for non-domestic properties such as shops and businesses). An officer will get back to you as soon as possible.
For advice on Housing Benefit, the Council Tax Reduction Scheme or Discretionary Housing Payments, to make a new claim or to report a change in circumstances, please visit the website www.gwynedd.llyw.cymru
If you can’t find the information you need online, and need to speak to a member of staff, please email Benefits@gwynedd.llyw.cymru. An officer will contact you as soon as possible.
Those needing homelessness services should come to the Siop Gwynedd one-stop-shop reception entrance in Caernarfon, Dolgellau or Pwllheli and ring the intercom bell. Arrangements will then be made for them to speak to a member of staff.
Those with a pre-arranged appointment with the Council’s registration service (births and deaths) should come to the reception door and ring the intercom at the pre-arranged time.
