Revenue and capital grant funding available for Gwynedd’s community and voluntary groups.

Voluntary and community groups in Gwynedd are being encouraged to consider applying for revenue and capital grants that will support projects to improve the quality of life of the county’s residents.

The Voluntary Development Fund offers capital and revenue grants of up to £10,000, to support volunteers to improve the quality of life of residents and communities in Gwynedd. 

The Welsh Church Act Fund offers grants of up to £3,000 to registered charities and a contribution is committed to local Eisteddfodau in Gwynedd, which is a sum of £300 and can be accessed by emailing:

Cist Gwynedd also administers the Community Chest Fund (formerly known as Sportlot grant) in Gwynedd. This fund offers grants of up to £1,500 to sports, community or fitness and well-being groups for projects that increase participation and creates new opportunities in sport and physical activities.

The closing dates for receiving applications for the Voluntary Development Fund and the Welsh Church Act Fund are 11 April and 28 June, 2019.

The closing dates for the Sport Wales Community Chest Fund (Sportlot) are: 5 April; 10 June; 6 September; 4 November 2019 and 13 January 2020.
