Gwynedd Council Chair 2023/24

At the annual Cyngor Gwynedd meeting on 4 May, Councillor Richard Medwyn Hughes (Canol Bangor) was elected Chair of Cyngor Gwynedd, with Councillor Beca Roberts (Tregarth a Mynydd Llandygai) as Vice-Chair.
A Gwynedd Councillor since 2017, Councillor Hughes has served on several committees during this time.
On his election as Cyngor Gwynedd Chair, Councillor Hughes said:
“It’s a privilege and an honour to be elected Chair of Cyngor Gwynedd. I am really looking forward to the coming year, and I will do my best to serve and promote the work of the Council and all the residents of Gwynedd."
