Pwllheli sponsored walk for charity

A sponsored walk was organised and held by 21 NERS (National Exercise Referral Scheme) clients, Calon lan and Dwyfor Leisure Centre staff. The walk was set up to raise money for the Dwyfor British Heart Foundation branch.

 The walk started form the leisure centre in Pwllheli and continued along the costal path to Carreg y Defaid and back to the leisure centre walking six miles in total.

 Councillor Craig ap Iago, Gwynedd Council Cabinet Member for Healthy Gwynedd said:

 “Congratulations to everybody who took part in the walk raising £200 towards a good cause. It is great to see so many people of different abilities and fitness taking part. The weather was lovely and everyone enjoyed.”

 Sandra Roberts who took part added:

 “I feel that I have achieved a lot by taking part in the walk; I have never walked that far before. The weather was great and I really enjoyed myself.”
