A chance for Gwynedd children to experiment, enjoy and learn through art

Date: 25/07/2017

Gwynedd’s Criw Celf Bach is looking for young artists that would be interested to register for the art club during 2017/18.

Criw Celf Bach is an art club for children between seven and 11 years old that offers opportunities for children to learn and try out creating with support from local professional artists.

Various sessions are being offered in areas throughout the county giving children an opportunity to experiment with art materials, techniques and themes in a playful manner. For the coming year, clubs will be held in Storiel, Bangor; Theatr Ardudwy, Harlech; Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw, Llanbedrog and Neuadd Dyfi, Aberdyfi.

Councillor Craig ab Iago, Gwynedd Council Cabinet Member who leads on the Arts said: “The Criw Bach Celf scheme provides wonderful opportunities for children and young people in Gwynedd to experiment and create art in the company of professional artists during regular workshops which will be held in inspiring locations.

“I’m very pleased that Gwynedd children will once again be able to make the most of the innovative Criw Celf project this year. It enables young people from all over the county to come together and develop their talents with the support of expert advice. I would urge any child that’s eager to enjoy and learn more about the world of art to go for it.”

To book a place, please complete and post a registration form and deliver a check of £40 payable to “Gwynedd Council” for Criw Bach Celf, Caernarfon Archives, Gwynedd Council, Shirehall Street, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 ISH. The membership fee pays for ten 2-hour sessions.
