TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE TO CARRY OUT EMERGENCY WORK - A496, DYFFRYN ARDUWY

Date: 09/07/2021

Emergency works will take place on the A496, Dyffryn Ardudwy on Sunday, 11 July. The A496 will be temporarily closed from the junction to Ffordd Gors 190m north to the entrance to the property known as Y Buarth luxury holiday cottages.

Whilst every effort has been made to consider alternatives to avoid the temporary road closure, due to the location of the work it would not be possible to complete the essential work safely without the temporary closure.

Traffic wishing to access Barmouth from Penrhyndeudraeth and Maentwrog will need to follow the diversionary route along the A470 and vice versa whilst the essential work is completed.

The essential work and temporary closure will start at 7am, Sunday 11 July. Every effort will be made to complete the work as soon as possible.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout with advanced warning signage being placed before the work starts to inform local residents and motorists.
