Some Gwynedd roads temporarily closed on 8 September during Tour of Britain visit

On Wednesday, 8 September some roads in Gwynedd will be temporarily closed with a rolling road closure when the fourth stage of the Tour of Britain road cycling race will be passing through the Meirionnydd area of the county.

 

As part of the preparations for the race, some roads will be closed with a rolling road closure; the A487 and A470 between 11.55am - 12.57pm. The race will go through the centre of Dolgellau during this time.

 

Then the race will go on to Barmouth, Llanbedr, Talybont, Dyffryn, Ardudwy, Llanbedr, Llanfair, Ynys, Talsarnau, Llandecwyn, Maentwrog and Ysbyty Ifan in Conwy from 12.33pm to 2:40pm on the A496, B4391 and the B4407 with roads being temporarily closed with a rolling road closure.

 

Information will be shared with local households and businesses and signs will be put in place to advise the public of all alternative routes.
