Positive Gwynedd performance despite financial challenges
Gwynedd Council’s Performance Report for the past year confirms that the Council is continuing to carry out good work for the people of the county, despite the financial challenges facing the authority.
The Council has a responsibility to publish a Performance Report that provides an accurate, balanced and clear picture of its performance over the past year. A full copy of the report for the 2018/19 financial year is available on the Council website: www.gwynedd.llyw.cymru/performance and paper copies can also be viewed at Council libraries.
Gwynedd Council Leader, Councillor Dyfrig Siencyn said: “I’m extremely proud of Gwynedd Council’s performance over the past year, particularly when considering the very challenging financial context that faces local authorities.
“This report looks back on our performance over the past twelve months, and it highlights the areas where we can be rightly proud and I’d like to thank our staff for their hard work and dedication towards the people of Gwynedd.
“There are naturally areas where we will be keen to develop further, and this report offers a wonderful opportunity for us to consider the journey and to see where we can improve as we move forward.
“In looking back at the 2018/19 achievements, I am confident that we have continued to maintain the services that the residents of Gwynedd need and deserve, and that we will be building on this hard work in future.”
