Crafty Communities - Training course on how to create and sell craftwork
The Community Arts Unit at Gwynedd Council has been delivering a successful training programme entitled ‘Crafty Communities’ for the residents of Gwynedd for the past few years and a further training course will start in September and will be held at Storiel, Bangor.
The purpose of the course is to offer guidance and encouragement to students who are eager to learn more about creating crafts and gifts from home. The students will be offered an opportunity to experiment with a variety of craft making skills, learn how to promote and sell products online and attended a craft fair to sell their products.
The training will be delivered by Rebecca Hardy-Griffith and Morgan Griffith from DyfalDonc (www.dyfaldonc.com) who are experienced makers and enthusiastic trainers. Both share knowledge and experiences as they had themselves established their own business in recent years.
The course – which is available for Gwynedd residents only - will be held every Tuesday morning between 9:30am and 12:30pm, starting on 5 September. Students will also be offered the opportunity to sell their craft work at a Christmas Craft fair in November for a fee of £30.
