Nurturing growth in an age of collaboration

The highlight of the Gwynedd business calendar is approaching with a host of events being organised to celebrate the achievements of firms across the county.

The Gwynedd Business Week 2017, which will be held between 22 and 26 May, will be an opportunity to showcase and promote local business successes as well as providing a great opportunity for companies to come together to network and exchange ideas for the future.

Sioned Williams, Gwynedd Council’s Head of Economy and Community said:

“Since it was established in 2006, the Gwynedd Business Week has developed into a major event for companies across the county. We look forward to this special week, and the events held across the county will be a chance to celebrate the achievements of the Gwynedd business community and to look forward to future opportunities for collaboration and promoting entrepreneurship.

“Throughout the week, we will be staging a variety of events and workshops that will showcase the innovative work being carried out by Gwynedd companies. We  would urge anyone who is interested in business matters, entrepreneurship and the state of the local economy to join us for these events.”

The week will be based around a programme of various events to be held across Gwynedd  and businesses will be welcomed at each event.

The Business Breakfast Launch Event will be held at The Mangaement Centre, Bangor on Monday, 22 May where there will be an opportunity to network with representatives from the private and public sector and to hear from guest speakers.

The highlight of the week will be the Gwynedd Business Week Gala Dinner which will be held on Thursday, 25 May at The Management Centre, Bangor. As always, the event will be a chance for business leaders from all over Gwynedd to meet like-minded people, to share ideas and experiences.

During the Dinner, Gwynedd Business Network will present an award to the Gwynedd Business Person of the Year, and the Gwynedd branch of the Federation of Small Businesses will present an award to the Young Entrepreneur that has successfully established a business in the current year.  In addition Gwynedd Council will acknowledge the success of local companies which have positively contributed to Gwynedd’s economy.
