Essential maintenance work at Tywyn swimming pool

Essential maintenance work is currently being carried out at Bro Dysynni Leisure Centre swimming pool in Tywyn. This means that the swimming pool will be closed until 21 July.

The work includes installing a new ceiling, lighting and windows that will contribute towards the centre's energy efficiency by reducing heating costs as well as improving the offer to customers.

Bryan Hughes, Gwynedd Council’s Area Manager for Meirionnydd Leisure Centre’s said: "Significant upgrading work is being carried out at Bro Dysynni Leisure Centre swimming pool in Tywyn. We apologise that this essential work means that the pool will be temporarily closed, and for any inconvenience caused.

“However, the activities in the dry side of the centre – which include fitness classes, fitness room and the children’s activities that are not in the pool - will be open as usual during the maintenance work. In addition, and any member will be able to use the Council’s other swimming pools during this period. We look forward to welcoming you back to the new and improved swimming pool area from July onwards! Thank you for your cooperation."
