North Wales Social Care and Well-being Population Assessment

Councils in North Wales along with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board have been working together to find out what care and support services people need now and in the future.

The findings were released on 1 April 2017, in the first joint report available at: www.gwynedd.llyw.cymru/populationassessment

People across North Wales have taken part to have their say about the future of health and social care services.

Jenny Williams, is the North Wales Project Lead and Strategic Director of Social Care and Education at Conwy County Borough Council.  She said, “This report is the first of its kind in North Wales. It will help us plan services to meet the needs of everyone needing care and support, and their carers.”

Producing a population assessment for North Wales is a requirement of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
